1. Overview

Face Off ("the App") is developed by FXGear. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App. We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is designed to perform all core face-swap processing entirely on your device, without transmitting your images or biometric data to any external server.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to FXGear's servers.

2.2 Information Shared with Third Parties

The App displays advertisements and uses Google Play services for in-app purchases, additional app data delivery, and anonymized usage analytics. The following data may be shared with Google:

Firebase Analytics does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email, or photos. No face images or biometric data are included in analytics events. Firebase may collect a randomly generated app instance ID to distinguish unique installations; this ID is not linked to your personal identity. You can opt out of analytics data collection by disabling "Usage & diagnostics" in your Android device settings.

Google AdMob uses your device's Advertising ID and approximate location (derived from your IP address) to serve relevant advertisements. AdMob may also collect app interaction data such as ad views and clicks. No face images, biometric data, or personally identifiable information are shared with the ad network. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads via Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device. Premium subscribers may experience an ad-free experience.

When you submit a content report through the App's reporting feature, the report data (reason, optional description, template identifier, and basic device metadata) is sent to Firebase Firestore for moderation review. Reports do not contain any face images, biometric data, or personally identifiable information.

Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

3. Biometric Data

The App processes and locally stores biometric data in the form of face images and facial latent vectors (mathematical feature representations derived from face images).

• Collection: Only when you explicitly save a face using the face registration feature.
• Storage: Stored exclusively on your device in the App's private storage, which is not accessible to other apps. Never uploaded to any server.
• Use: Used solely for on-device face-swap processing.
• Deletion: You can delete all saved face data at any time using Settings → Delete My Data within the App. This removes all saved faces, processed images and videos, and app cache from your device. Uninstalling the App will also remove all locally stored biometric data.

Face Off does not transmit, sell, or share biometric data with any third party.

4. Device Permissions

• Camera: Used to capture your face in real-time for face-swap processing. Camera feed is processed entirely on-device and is not recorded or transmitted unless you explicitly save the result.
• Microphone: Used to capture audio when recording videos with the face-swap effect. Audio is stored only in the output video file saved by you.
• Storage (read): Used to load images and videos from your gallery for face-swap processing.
• Storage (write): Used to save processed images and videos to your device storage.

5. Network Usage

The App requires internet access for the following limited purposes:

• Google Play Billing: Verifying and processing subscription purchases.
• Play Asset Delivery: Downloading additional app data required for functionality.
• WebView feature: Loading web pages you navigate to within the built-in browser. The App stores your URL history locally. Third-party websites you visit are subject to their own privacy policies.
• Google AdMob: Loading and displaying advertisements. AdMob may collect your Advertising ID, approximate location (IP-based), and ad interaction data. No face images or personal data are shared with the ad network.
• Firebase Firestore: Submitting content reports when you use the in-app reporting feature. Only the report reason, optional description, template identifier, and basic device metadata are transmitted. No face images or personal data are included.
• Help, Terms, and Privacy links: Opening fxgear.net pages in your device browser.

The App does not have its own backend server. No face images, videos, or personal data are sent to FXGear's servers.

6. Data Retention and Backup

• Locally stored data (face images, processed media, settings) is retained until you delete it within the App (via Settings → Delete My Data) or uninstall the App.
• Cloud backup: Sensitive data such as face images, latent vectors, and processed media are explicitly excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. Only general app settings may be included in backups.
• Subscription data is managed by Google Play. Refer to Google's data retention policies for details.
• Content reports submitted via the in-app reporting feature are stored in Firebase Firestore and retained for moderation purposes.

7. Age Restriction and Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 17 and older due to the potential for generating realistic face-swap content. The App is not directed at children or minors.

The App does not collect personal information from any user, regardless of age. All face processing is performed entirely on-device and no user data is transmitted to FXGear's servers. However, we do not knowingly permit users under the age of 17 to use the App. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child is using the App, please contact us at support@fxgear.net.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and delete locally stored face data and processed media at any time using Settings → Delete My Data within the App.
• Manage subscription through your Google Play account settings.
• Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data from your device.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
